Terms of Service
Last updated: April 16, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Drop the Puck ("the Service"), operated by 837 Software Solutions LLC ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Drop the Puck is a platform that helps organizers manage drop-in hockey games, including scheduling, roster management, payments, and player communication.
3. Text Message Communications (Optional)
Drop the Puck offers optional text message (SMS) notifications as a convenience. Receiving text messages is not required to use the Service. You may use all features of Drop the Puck without opting in to SMS communications.
If you choose to opt in, you may receive messages such as:
- Game reminders and schedule updates
- Roster confirmations and waitlist notifications
- Payment confirmations and receipts
- Roster invitations from organizers
How to opt in: During account creation or in your account settings, you may check the "I agree to receive SMS notifications" checkbox to opt in. This checkbox is unchecked by default. Opting in is entirely voluntary and is not a condition of using the Service.
How to opt out: You may opt out at any time by unchecking the SMS notifications option in your account settings, or by replying STOP to any message. There is no penalty or loss of Service functionality for opting out.
Message frequency varies based on game activity. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep this information up to date.
5. Payments and Refunds
Payments for drop-in sessions are processed through Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. Your payment serves as your RSVP confirmation. Refund policies are set by individual organizers and are subject to the cancellation deadlines configured for each drop-in session.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with other users' use of the Service, or using the Service for any unlawful purpose.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We are not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses arising from participation in hockey games organized through the platform. Use of the Service and participation in any activities is at your own risk.
8. Privacy
Your phone number and personal information are used solely for the operation of the Service and will not be sold to third parties. We may share limited information with service providers (such as Stripe for payments and Twilio for SMS delivery) as necessary to operate the platform.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes via the Service or by other reasonable means.
